Education is a basic right that determines the quality of life. It improves knowledge, skills & attitude. Most importantly, education affects chances of employment in the society. The government of Kenya has over the years been investing in education, with expenditure on education going from 5.4% in 1999 to 6.7% in 2010 and is still growing.
Despite these efforts, quality level education still remains a pipe dream. Over 1 million children are out of school in Kenya, this number being the 13th highest in the world. Under Education and job preparedness pillars, Optiven Foundation seeks to raise the bar in upgrading education quality through it’s Soaring Eagles Sponsorship Program (SESP).
The latest contribution was a donation in kind of 100 desks to Korrompoi Primary School in Kajiado County. The Foundation has previously built modern toilets at the school, a key factor in maintaining high levels of hygiene for the school Community. https://fb.watch/emuZz2mxtS/
