The Optiven Foundation joined the global community in celebrating the International Day of Education with the theme “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation.” This comes after the Foundation took more than 600 students back to school this January emphasizing the commitment to promoting quality education. https://www.optivenfoundation.org/news-and-blogs/optiven-foundation-bags-awards-for-education/

The Optiven team dressed as characters representing different professions, including engineers, nurses, and teachers showcasing the positive impact on education. This, as the Optiven Foundation coordinator Ann Nyagah explained was to create awareness of the different careers to inspire students to pursue.

“This activity was a visual celebration that leaves an impression on everyone reminding us to invest in education,” she commented.

As we acknowledge this day we are reminded while AI enhances human capabilities, it is education that empowers us to continue nurturing creativity, innovation and problem-solving. Let us collaborate to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4
