Valentines with the Bubbly Angels

As a way of offering love to the less fortunate in our society ahead of this year’s Valentine’s day, Optiven Foundation, the soft arm of Optiven Group has partnered with Imani Rehabilitation Agency (IRA), Kayole to support over 100 Orphaned & Needy infants.

Imani takes care of abandoned babies, children of imprisoned parents, orphans, abused children and children whose custody has become void due to various reasons. These children are admitted in the home when they are below 5 years of age. In Kenya, children are rescued on a daily basis. On the streets, dustbins and other pathetic sites.

Innocent children are left to survive on their own. A major challenge is that no one comes forward to adopt or foster a HIV positive or an abled differently baby. As a result, these children remain in IRA custody until such a time that they attain the age of 18 years or for a very long time before getting an alternative care.

These infants are fed only on baby formula and the period they will stay on baby formula is dependent on their health status. Optiven Foundation has partnered with IRA to raise funds to buy 1, 000 tins to support this needy cause.
