The journey to transformation that begun on 16th January 2024 courtesy of Optiven Limited is bearing great fruits at Makombeni Secondary School. Located in the heart of Malindi and in proximity to Optiven’s project, the school was facing imminent closure owing to lack of a laboratory facility.
With the ground-breaking ceremony for the laboratory officiated by the Optiven Foundation Chairman Dr. George Wachiuri, Board of Trustees, representatives from both Optiven Limited and Optiven Homes, the project has proceeded well to give hope not just to the community but to beneficiaries from far and wide.
The building of the laboratory is now at an advanced stage and it is expected to be completed this quarter. With the project sponsored by Optiven Group now on course, the interest and population at the school has continued to grow. This is a positive step towards Optiven’s agenda in empowering the less fortunate through education.
