The Optiven Foundation has been spreading Christmas love this festive season through various ways as they hope to end the year of positive things at a high. Guided by the 4 pillars – Education and Job Readiness, Health and Dignity, Environmental Protection and Poverty Alleviation, the Foundation has visited several locations inspiring hope to the vulnerable as this christmas period reminds us of love and sharing.
On the 19th of December, led by Madam Mary, the Optiven Foundation co-chair visited the Soweto Children’s Home in Nairobi to inspire and share a meal together. Ann Nyagah took time to encourage and counsel the young minds in Soweto with their caretakers who expressed a lot of joy and gratitude.
Later, the Optiven team got involved to prepare chapati and stew that was shared before the Foundation donated essential items to the guardians. After the visit, Wings of Hope Rescue Home, Kamulu was the next stop to inspire more possibilities. The center rescues and supports unsupported pregnant teenagers providing a safe haven, access to medical care, education and training.
Through the poverty alleviation pillar that has a vision of eradicating poverty, food items, beddings among others were contributed providing a smile to the families. The rescue home still requires a lot of love, meals, school fees, pampers and you can partner with the Optiven Foundation through their paybill number 898630.
“The donation from the Optiven Foundation will help the Wings of Hope Rescue Home to continue providing care to all individuals under its care,” said one of the beneficiaries.
